Superman (1978)
Plot:
When the planet Krypton is about to die worried parents send their son to Earth. The son, later known as Superman / Clark Kent is found by a couple who soon figure out that he has various powers. He grows up with the couple, moves out and becomes a journalist. He meets a woman at work, Louis, and although she doesn't want anything to do with Clark she definitely has a thing for Superman after he saves her life. After saving Louis he continues to fights against crimes and becomes a super-hero.
My Opinion:
Worth watching, interesting special effects especially when considering the movie is from 1978. The acting is good and the plot has romance, bad guys and a hero so that covers pretty much everything. The only con I found was that this movie is a bit too long (over two hours).
In my opinion if you have over two hours to spare and it is raining outside this movie is a good alternative.

The Big Store (1941)
I laughed so hard I had to hit pause and breath between scenes! Let me tell you about the Marx Brothers film The Big Store.
Plot:
In fear of the store's stockholder, Tommy, who is going to sell his share, the store manager hires a floorwalker called Wolf. Not knowing exactly who he was hiring, Wolf considers it his non-paying job to flirt with women, and even with married women! He is forced to take his real job as a floorwalker seriously though when he hears about a hidden gun in a camera. A gun meant for murdering.
My Opinion:
The Big Store is a great film with great actors. It is a comedy and as I said before I found it so funny I had trouble breathing at times. The Marx brothers Groucho, Chico and Harpo do a wonderful job in this film. It has everything, humor, romance and a bad guy!
In my opinion this is one of the funniest films out there!

Serial Mom (1994)
Welcome to my blog!
As this is my first post I'm going to tell you about my all time favorite film, Serial Mom!
Plot:
Beverly is a married mother of two. Her house is always spotless and she spends a lot of time recycling. Her son the horror movie fan, her daughter who can't find a decent boyfriend and her very normal husband and Beverly herself all seem to make a happy family. When people the family members know get murdered time after time Beverly becomes a suspect.
My Opinion:
Serial Mom is a great movie. I would describe it as a comedy with a horror twist to it. The editing is good, the music ironic and funny and the acting is amazing. Not to mention the great performance of Kathleen Turner! More great actors in the film worth mentioning are Sam Waterston and Ricki Lake. Beverly is so houseproud and "innocent" that the concept is both funny and interesting. Can a normal wife / mom who recycles really be a serial killer?
In my opinion this movie is a must see!
